   Austria's collection coin from niobium with a face value of 25 euro "Mesmerizing Light" was issued on March 11, 2008 and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Austrian chemist Karl Auer von Welsbach. Minted in the Austrian mint with a circulation of 65,000 coins.

   The obverse of the 25 Euro coin shows a lit gas lantern in front of the Vienna Town Hall, the lighting technology of which was invented by Welsbach . In the upper part on the outer ring is the name of the state "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" and at the bottom is the face value "25 EURO" and the year of minting "2008."

   On the reverse of the coin on the left is a portrait of Welsbach , and in the center is the Sun, as the main light source, around which various light sources are placed.
