   On March 8, 2016, the Austrian Mint began issuing a new platinum collector's coin with a face value of 100 euro, part of the Vienna Philharmonic series. A coin weighing one ounce is made of platinum 999 samples.

   The obverse of the coin depicts an organ installed in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Philharmonic. In the upper part of the obverse is the name of the country "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" and under the image is indicated the weight of the coin "1 UNZE" the metal sample "PLATINUM 999.5" the year of issue and the face value "100 EURO."

   The reverse of the platinum Austrian "philharmonicer" of 100 euro depicts musical instruments used by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra: four violins, cello, horn, bassoon and harp. Above them, the inscription "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER" is placed in a semicircle, and the material of the PLATINUM coin is also indicated.
