Coin "Republic of 1974" 2 euro Malta

    The commemorative coin of 2 euro of Malta is dedicated to the transition of Malta from monarchy to republic on December 13, 1974. It was released in September 2015 with a circulation of 400,000 coins . Minting was carried out at the mint of the Netherlands.

   The obverse of the commemorative coin 2 euro depicts a marble tablet from the facade of the Grand Master's Palace in Valletta, which marks the transition of Malta from monarchy to republic. The inscription "MALTA - Republic 1974" is inscribed on top, and the year of issue of the 2015 coin is indicated below. On the outer ring are 12 stars of the European Union.
