Coin "Temples of Jgantia" 2 euro Malta

    Malta's commemorative coin "Temples of Jgantia" with a face value of 2 euro was issued in July 2016 with a circulation of 350,000 units. Minting was carried out at the French mint.

   The obverse of the commemorative coin 2 euro depicts the ancient temples of Jgantia on the island of Gozo, built around the 36th century BC. On top of the image is the inscription "ΒΌ GANTIJA TEMPLATES 3600 - 3200 BC" and at the bottom of the coin is the name of the state "MALTA" and the year of coinage "2016." The signature of the artist of the NGB coin is engraved on the right. 12 stars of the European Union are located in a circle.
