Coin "Temple Complex of Sorrow" 2 euro Malta

    The commemorative coin 2 euro of Malta "Temple Complex of Sorrow" was released in July 2020. Minted in the French mint with a circulation of 180,000 units.

   The obverse of the commemorative coin 2 euro depicts the ruins of the temple complex of Scorba, located in the north-west of Malta. At the top of the coin is the inscription "SKORBA TEMPLATES 3600 - 2500 BC" and at the bottom is the name of the country "MALTA" and the year of issue of the coin "2020." Also nearby is a terracotta figurine discovered in Sorrow. 12 stars of the European Union are placed on the outer ring.
