Escorial Monastery coin, 2 euro Spain

    The commemorative coin of Spain "Escorial Monastery" with a face value of 2 euro was issued in 2013 with a circulation of 8 million coins.

   The obverse of the commemorative coin depicts the Escorial Monastery - the palace and residence of King Philip II of Spain. At the top of the coin is the name of the state "ESPA√ĎA" and on the right is the year of issue of the coin and the sign of the Royal Mint of Spain. 12 stars of the European Union are located around the circle.
